Buddy Hackett, the "original wild man of stand-up," has been entertaining audiences for over 50 years. He's best known for his many television specials, including Buddy Hackett: Unlucky in Love, which is the highest rated stand-up special ever to air on Comedy Central. He's also had a number of leading roles in movies, including the Oscar-winning The Great White Hope, which he co-wrote. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role as Archie Bunker on All in the Family
His autobiography is entitled The Life and Adventures of a Late Night Host. Hackett was born in San Diego, California, and grew up in Pasadena.
